Twitter trends: Who comes up with the descriptions for trending topics?
When looking at Twitter as a whole, the platform is a good way to let others know what you are thinking but additionally, helping promote things that are going on around. This is a feature that businesses should be using a lot because it helps people to connect with what you are posting. Additionally, taking advantage of the retweet feature which will help others who are following you spread what you are saying. When thinking of the many times I have been on Twitter, I will see companies use the phrase, "Retweet if you..." which I think is a really smart way for companies to spread what they are trying to say. With this, you are able to connect with the people that follow you but they are also spreading your message. 
When looking at the content that is in chapter six of "Essential of Social Media Marketing," the section of text that I want to take a deeper look into is the part that reads, "Twitter is a very powerful tool for businesses looking to leverage the social media platform for marketing. In fact, Twitter users are three times more likely than Facebook users to follow a brand." When looking at this information, I think it shows how important Twitter is for helping grow a business and connecting with people who would be interested in looking at your business. One thing that is very important when it comes to Twitter is making sure that you are sticking to your image. While some companies go after being funny while others follow more by giving out information. Finding your company's way of communicating is important to making sure that you are connecting with your followers consistently. Make sure you stick to one way because it will keep it easy for your followers to know what you are trying to achieve when posting. 
        
Twitter holds many features that would be very useful for business. From tweeting out information that would be useful for them to know to being able to connect with them through the comments or the retweeting feature. I think that Twitter is a great way for businesses to grow to become more connected to the world around them.

Christmas Formals

Each year, Alpha Xi Delta hosts their Christmas formals which is one of the nicest events that we throw in the fall semester. This allows everyone in the chapter to get all dressed up and spend time with each other. This year, we were able to bring dates with us so I brought Megan. Megan knows a lot of the girls in my sorority because a couple of our friends are in the chapter so it was super fun to hang out with everyone. We started getting ready for the formal a couple hours before it started so before people could come to my house to take pictures and hang.  After some time, we all headed to the event and it was so much fun! When we first went there, we spent 30 minutes taking pictures of the different backdrops that they had set up. It was nice to have different options and fun to take pictures with everyone in the chapter. After some time, we went back upstairs and got hot chocolate and sat at the tables. Welcome to Ada!

While I was just home last weekend, my parents wanted to come up for the weekend. One of the main reasons for them coming is Megan's parents were also coming up and this would be the first time they have met. We wanted to have a tailgate for the football game with them to get to hangout with all of our friends. In addition to hanging out with Megan's parents, my older brother and I surprised my parents by driving down to The University of Cincinnati to pick up my younger brother,  Aiden.  They haven't seen him since leaving for school so we thought this would be really cool for him to join us this weekend. When my parents saw Aiden, they were shocked. They had no idea that we were going to pick him up for the weekend. This made this whole weekend that much more fun!  We all got the our tailgate location in the late morning. The parents set up all of the food that was made and everyone enjoyed each others' company. Unexpected Visits

Ohio Northern is an amazing school but freshman year, my best friend, Kendyl transferred halfway through the academic year. She was unhappy on campus and knew that the best thing was for her to leave. I supported her knowing that Ohio Northern was not the place for her anymore but ever since, I felt like a part of me is missing. Throughout the remainder of the year, Kendyl and I would FaceTime at least once a week, as this was the best way to stay in touch and feel connected to each other.  Sophomore year came around and I was really struggling. I did not enjoy my major and was having minor roommate problems. Kendyl recognized that I was miserable and asked what she could do to help me feel better. I conceded that a weekend visit would really help. At first she did not think she would be able to, but after some convincing she made the trip. This was the best weekend I had all year!
