Halloween weekend is the last weekend that Cedar Point is open, so weekends leading up are very busy. The first ride we went on, we waited three hours and the time was going by super slow. We spent the firs hour catching up and talking about school.By the second hour it was tougher, we started to get hungry and felt like the line was not moving at all. We saw some other people in line playing the game HeadBandz and asked if we could join in. They said yes, so for the next chunk of time, we were all standing around a phone playing the game. This was extremely fun and really helped the time pass. The final stretch in line was the hardest. Everyone was hungry and tired of waiting. As time crept by, we could finally see the front of the line! As we walked up the stairs to get on the ride, I could feel my heart racing, I was so excited but also scared at the same time.
We got on the ride and all of my fear disappeared. As soon as we started moving, I was yelling and having the time of my life! I squeezed my friend's hand so hard, but we were both laughing and enjoying the ride. During our time there, we were only able to go on one other ride. I wish we were able to get to do more rides, but all of the lines were so long and we were not will to wait. We walked back to the car with smiles on our faces, talking about all of the memories we created. Driving over two hour for two roller coster rides might seem like a waste, but I think the time we spent in the line and getting to know the new members made it all worth it.
I LOVE Cedar Point! I have the worst fear of heights, but something about a rollercoaster just gets me going. I get super nervous on those last few flights of stairs just like you mentioned and that's the worst part. That sounds like such a fun sisterhood event for you guys! I'm glad the wait was worth it for you!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Cedar Point, but I have certainly had similar experiences at amusement parks closer to home (Hershey Park is my go-to!). I am so glad you were able to enjoy the rides you went on and have a great time despite how crowded it was! I also get very nervous on roller coasters, but I think I'm getting a little better, too - so I know exactly how you feel!
