Sorority Recruitment

It is my favorite time of the year, recruitment season! Over the span of three days, we will get to meet so many new girls that might find their home in our chapter. On the first night, you learn about our philanthropy. Alpha Xi Delta got the new philanthropy of FosterClub and Stand Up for Kids. These organizations support kids experiencing foster care and homelessness. I really love that we are able to support such an amazing organization and am so excited to give back to others with the new philanthropy.  The next night is the sisterhood round. This is the round to hear about all of the amazing things each chapter does together but also with one another. Two of my best friends are in Theta and I think this round allows me to tell girls that you can be close with people not open in your chapter but rather anyone in the greek community. One of my favorite things that my chapter does is our yearly trip to pumpkin patch. I love being able to walk around with everyone and get really cute

Weekend Visitors

Over the weekend, my best friend, Megan's parents came to visit from Chicago, IL. This wasn't the first time that I have met her parents but every time they come up, we always have the best time! They arrived on Friday after we were done with class and we all caught up with each other. There has been so much crazy stuff that has happened since the start of the school year so there was a lot to talk about. After some time, her parents went to check into their hotel and also go to the store and get stuff to make a homemade dinner. This was one of the most exciting parts of the weekend! It has been so long for all of us since we have had a good homemade parent meal. Her dad made us steak, salad, potatoes, and carrots, it was the best meal I have had since being here. After dinner, we hung around the house for a while and then decided that we wanted to walk over to my house to hangout with everyone there. We didn't stay out very long but it was still a super fun night! Saturday

Weekend Adventures

While going to classes might not always be my favorite thing, being able to hang out with all of my friends on the weekend makes everything so much better! One of my closest friends has a puppy this year so every night, we always take her on a long walk. This is a great way for all of us to destress about everything that is going on. On Friday night, we wanted to have a girls night because we all had exams during the week and we wanted to have a chill night. First we went out to dinner as a group and it was so much fun! We sat and talked about everything that was going on in our lives and it was nice to just relax. After dinner, we went back to my friend's house and played games the rest of the night. We didn't stay up super late because we were all so tired from the week.  On Saturday, we woke up and went to Findlay to get our nails done. I was so excited because it has been months since the last time I got my nails done and I was so happy with how they looked. After we were

Mexico

Over the summer, I went on my favorite vacation yet, Cancun, Mexico. This was not my first time in Mexico but this was by far so much better than last time we went. My parents wanted to go on a big vacation this year because my younger brother just graduated high school and my brother and I are graduating college next year.  When we first got to Mexico, it was really late at night so we didn't do much but we walked down to the beach and it was so pretty. Ever since I was really young, I loved going to the beach and seeing the water. Throughout the week, my mom and I would wake up early and walk down to the beach to watch the sunrise and it was always stunning. It was not too hot so it was super enjoyable. Also seeing all of the lemurs was so cool! You would be able to feed them food and they would try and climb up to grab what you have in your hands. They were most active in the morning so my mom and I would always see a bunch by the ocean.  One of my favorite days of the trip was
