Over the summer, I went on my favorite vacation yet, Cancun, Mexico. This was not my first time in Mexico but this was by far so much better than last time we went. My parents wanted to go on a big vacation this year because my younger brother just graduated high school and my brother and I are graduating college next year.
When we first got to Mexico, it was really late at night so we didn't do much but we walked down to the beach and it was so pretty. Ever since I was really young, I loved going to the beach and seeing the water. Throughout the week, my mom and I would wake up early and walk down to the beach to watch the sunrise and it was always stunning. It was not too hot so it was super enjoyable. Also seeing all of the lemurs was so cool! You would be able to feed them food and they would try and climb up to grab what you have in your hands. They were most active in the morning so my mom and I would always see a bunch by the ocean.
One of my favorite days of the trip was when my family visited Chichen Itza. This is one of the 7 Wonders of the World and it was stunning to look at. Hearing all of the history with all of the ruins that were at the site were memories that I will hold onto for a very long time. After visiting Chichen Itza, we went to the cenotes. Cenotes are natural deep water that is underground. We were able to repel down into the water and then swim around for a while.
After a week of fun, it was time to head back to Ohio. While I miss Mexico a lot, I was also super happy to get back to life at home. I was so happy that I was able to hang out with my family especially all my siblings before we all started to take different paths in life.
I'm so jealous you got to go to Mexico! I need to visit at least once in my life. I feel like the lemurs would be so cool to see because it's not a typical animal we see. I can tell that the sunsets were absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I've never been to Mexico, but I only hear good things about people who go! I already know that the weather must've been gorgeous. So cool that you guys got to encounter animals so closely!
