Happy Halloween! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year and this year was the best so far! On Thursday, my friends' and I handed out candy to all the kids in Ada. This was so much fun, we sat around the fire because it was really cold out and we had apple cider. We did not know how many kids would come by us at the house because we had around 75 kids. Everyone was so friendly and so many of the families were talking with us about plans after college and how we have enjoyed our years.
Being a senior, it was very sad talking about leaving Ada and moving on to a new part in my life but it is also very exciting.
On Friday, we had a pizza night and sat by the fire all night. We had a couple of pizza in the house and after class, we watched a movie. Since Halloween is around the corner, we decided that we would watch a scary movie. I could not be happier, I love scary movies. The unknown that comes with watching scary movies is my favorite thing. After the movie was over, we all pulled up our chairs and sat by the fire. This has became a tradition at my house and it is one of my favorite. We are all different majors and never really get to see each other during the week so this is one way we are able to catch up with each other.
Saturday was an all day celebration, it was one of my friend's 21st birthdays and we were celebrating all day. In addition to this, it was the day we were celebrating Halloween, this year I was dressing up as a UPS girl. The other girls in my house were dressing up as different delivery services, FedEx, Amazon, and USPS. We thought it would be a funny and creative idea. We were the only people who were dressed up as delivery people which made it better. I would say that this weekend was so much fun and created so many amazing new memories.
I am so glad you had a fantastic Halloween! This year I totally forgot about trick or treat. Basketball practice usually falls during trick-or-treating, so we don't get to see all the Ada kids in their costumes. Your costumes are on point! I bet it felt good to be the only ones you saw wearing them. Everyone's creativity truly shines on Halloween!
ReplyDeleteWhile I do love Halloween as well, you cannot pay me enough to watch scary movies willingly. I jump scare so easy! My roommates also handed out candy, I for one stayed inside because I had some work to finish up.
