Happy Halloween Weekend!

Happy Halloween! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year and this year was the best so far! On Thursday, my friends' and I handed out candy to all the kids in Ada. This was so much fun, we sat around the fire because it was really cold out and we had apple cider. We did not know how many kids would come by us at the house because we had around 75 kids. Everyone was so friendly and so many of the families were talking with us about plans after college and how we have enjoyed our years.  Being a senior, it was very sad talking about leaving Ada and moving on to a new part in my life but it is also very exciting.  On Friday, we had a pizza night and sat by the fire all night. We had a couple of pizza in the house and after class, we watched a movie. Since Halloween is around the corner, we decided that we would watch a scary movie. I could not be happier, I love scary movies. The unknown that comes with watching scary movies is my favorite thing. After the movie was over, we a

Big/Little

Friday night was a very exciting night for my Alpha Xi family, I became a grandma! Last year I was able to get my littles and this year both of my littles were able to get their own littles. I was so excited for them. Becca has Abby who is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is one of the happiest people and loves being a part of Alpha Xi. Katie got Maddie and I could not be happier about this. Maddie was one of the girls that I talked to during recruitment and we got along so well. From the first moments of talking to her, I knew that I wanted her to be a part of my family.  Each year big little has a theme and this year was socks. So the big and little pairing would have matching socks and the goal was to find your match. In addition to that, my littles want to dress up in a theme and they choose Despicable Me. While I loved this idea, I got the honor of dressing up as Gru and they wanted me to go full out. While I thought this was a very funny idea, this did not set us

Welcome to Ada!

While I was just home last weekend, my parents wanted to come up for the weekend. One of the main reasons for them coming is Megan's parents were also coming up and this would be the first time they have met. We wanted to have a tailgate for the football game with them to get to hangout with all of our friends. In addition to hanging out with Megan's parents, my older brother and I surprised my parents by driving down to The University of Cincinnati to pick up my younger brother,  Aiden.  They haven't seen him since leaving for school so we thought this would be really cool for him to join us this weekend. When my parents saw Aiden, they were shocked. They had no idea that we were going to pick him up for the weekend. This made this whole weekend that much more fun!  We all got the our tailgate location in the late morning. The parents set up all of the food that was made and everyone enjoyed each others' company. A lot of Megan and I's friends showed up to socializ

Home for Fall Break

While school has been amazing, there is no better feeling than going home. This is going to be the first time that I am going home this school year and I could not be more excited! What is more exciting about going home is that my best friend, Megan, is going to be coming home with me. She is from Chicago, IL which is too far for her to come home so I invited her to come home with me for the weekend. She knows my family very well so I am so excited for her to come to Cleveland with me again.  On Friday, we spent two and a half hours driving home where we met everyone from the family. Everyone was very excited to see us because it has been so long since we have been home and it was so much fun to catch up with everyone on what has happened while we were gone. Friday night, I took Megan to the high school football game. While this might not be fun to everyone, my younger sister is the leader of the student section so we were able to hang out and have a blast leading all of the students.

Happy Bid Day!

After all of the recruiting, it is time to meet all of the new members! This is one of my favorite days of the year, it is so much fun hanging out with all of the new members that just joined. Each year there is a different theme for your chapter. This year Alpha Xi Delta's theme was "So Fresh, So Clean, So Alpha Xi." There were a lot of bubbles, pastel colors, balloons, and rubber ducks. The best way to think of our theme this year was the bathtub theme. While it sounded very different, everything looked so good! The banners we had hanging were so cute and the whole house looked amazing. First thing that happens on bid day is all of the new members run home. This was very exciting for my whole friend group because one of our closest friends went through recruitment and got to run home to all of us. It was the most amazing feeling! After what felt like hours of taking pictures, everyone went inside to eat lunch. This was a great time for all of the new members to meet the
